十三陵总神道
The sacred way (or the tomb passage) was originally designed for the Changling Tomb. Since the sacred way to other tombs originated from this one,it became the general sacred way for all. Along the 7.3-km-long sacred way stands the Stone Archway, the Great Red Gate, Cloud Pillar and Stele Pavilion and so on. demonstrating the inviolable imperial power.
十三陵总神道(或墓穴通道)最初是为长陵而建的。由于其他陵墓的神道都是源于这条神道,因此它是全部神道的总神道。7.3公里长的神道上站立着石牌坊,大红门,碑楼和石像生等等，象征着皇帝不可侵犯的权利。
The construction of these architectures began in 1435 ,the 10th year of Ming Emperor Xuande's reign,and more structures were added in 1540. the 19th year of Ming Emperor Jiajing's reign. The present Museum of the Sacred Way displays the series of structures to tourists,from the Stele Pavilion to the Dragon and Phoenix Gate.
这些建筑的建设始于1435年,明朝宣德10年,在1540年即明嘉靖19年又增加了更多的建筑。现在博物馆给游客展示了从石像生到龙凤门一系列建筑。
